CADSIM Plus is a third-generation process modeling tool which features an advanced drawing and modeling interface. CADSIM Plus combines the power of CAD drawing with the ease-of-use of today's technical diagramming tools.

CADSIM Plus v2.3 includes new methods for connecting CADSIM Plus simulations to other software and process control hardware devices:

• New DDE wizard, that allows you to browse for DDE services on your PC and for named fields in Excel. Connect CADSIM Plus via DDE to other Windows software and exchange numerical information between programs at runtime.
• New copy and paste functions at runtime, that allow formatted CADSIM Plus variables to be copied to the Windows clipboard, and pasted into programs such as Microsoft Excel.
• New COM wizard and module, that allows you to browse for COM servers on your PC. Connect CADSIM Plus via COM to other Windows software and exchange numerical information between programs at runtime. You can even build control interfaces for CADSIM Plus in Excel.
• New (optional) OPC wizard and module, which allows you to browse your Local Area Network (LAN) for OPC servers and data items. Easily connect and share information with control systems that support the OLE for Process Control (OPC) standard.
• New ActiveX (OCX) object for connecting via COM to Macromedia Authorware.
• New (optional) SimcaQP module for connecting CADSIM Plus to Umetrics' Simca-P multi-variable prediction engine (available for purchase from Umetrics).

v2.3 includes the following new modules:

• Thermal Pinch - for performing PINCH runtime energy analysis - a Standard Library module included in your basic CADSIM Plus purchase.
• New HALT and TIMESTEP modules which permit external simulation control from other software, such as Microsoft Excel.

CADSIM Plus v2.3 includes new runtime language support for Spanish and Portuguese.

New copy protection methods will allow easy updating of CADSIM Plus software over the Internet.
